Seminole Landing - one of world's most exclusive luxury golf communities opened in 1929 by E.F. Hutton. Prominent past members of Seminole Golf Club include US presidents, British royalty and members of the Kennedy, Ford, Chrystler, Mellon and Vanderbilt families. The clubhouse is a pale pink stucco construction with cypress-beamed ceilings inside and is only open November - May reflecting its seasonal members and guests. The original course was designed by Donald Ross but later redesigned by Dick Wilson. The first nine holes are counter clockwise near the clubhouse and the rear nine holes are clockwise towards the dunes and overlooking the ocean. It is considered one of the worlds's finest golf courses and probably offers the fastest green in Florida.
